Pros

21 day leave, freedom to wear whatever to work.

Cons

There's no structure to the company, nor any trust between the bosses and employees. It's always they say you do, never listening to your opinions or suggestions during meetings. Dictatorship, basically. And they can never do any wrong, it's always down to you even if you feedback to them why you want to leave and how they can improve. If you did your best and what most people would have agreed were good results, it's never enough for the bosses. Not to mention there are little to no constructive feedback, but just a simple "I do not like it", or "This is bad/terrible" and whatever synonym you have for that. Overpromising with clients and never caring how the employees would have to balance the workload. Expect you to be a do it all and handle more than one position at a time. If you're a creative, you best be able to do statistics too. Perfectly. Loves micromanaging and requires approval for everything, but never replies even if it is urgent, then blames you for backlogs. Don't expect to have any form of work-life balance, you would be too exhausted from work by the end of the day to even think about it. Not to mention, for a company who boasts about "Authentic" and "Honest" reviews, they are anything but. They have manipulated stories to fit their narrative when explaining why someone left the company. And if they so even see a single bad review, trust them to try to hunt you down and flood out your review with other positive ones. To conclude, the fact that they are constantly hiring just shows something about the management, doesn't it.

Try and Review Response
5y
Hello, We thank you for your review and advice. We are happy to try to address the various suggestions provided. You are right to highlight that we are constantly hiring, we are blessed to be a successful start-up with significant growth allowing us to hire often. The company has grown from zero to a 7-digit revenue and from a team of 2 people to a team of 20 in the span of 5 years. The company is composed of 3 teams: campaign team, sales team and marketing team. Each team has its own structure and internal meetings allowing people to be autonomous and suggest new ideas. Being a start-up, we have created our processes and are always improving on them. We also make mistakes but we learn by doing. When campaign results are disappointing, we strive to explain why so we can continuously improve. We are sorry that our feedback was too harsh at times, we will take your concerns into account going forward. The success of Try and Review comes from the quality of our work. We acknowledge that there is a lot of work to be done. We are demanding and it is a key reason why our customers are happy to work with us. Therefore Try and Review is more appropriate for those who enjoy multitasking and are willing to go beyond their comfort zone to experiment new things daily. A number of us being parents in the team, we know very well how the time at home with our families and kids is crucial and we provide the flexibility needed to be able to manage family and work. We often remind our teams to disconnect when they are not in office and ask them to stick to business hours. We also try to solve workload issues as fast as we can when needed. As we value feedback, we regularly ask our past and current employees for authentic and honest reviews highlighting both the pros and cons of working at Try and Review. As a small business, we also have to balance defamatory one-sided reviews that communicate false information with reasonable ones. But we would never “hunt down” former employees for positive reviews, and nobody has ever been forced to write a positive review on our Glassdoor page. We would have loved to get a chance to hear your feedback in person when you were still working with us. We still have many areas of improvement that we need to work on, including in the management of our teams and we always welcome constructive advice and suggestions. Rest assured that we review all of them in order to implement the most needed ones. We wish you good luck in your next career move.

Pros

Friendly colleagues, well paid, remote basis. If you need challenges to improve your skills, that would be a good workplace.

Cons

Work overload, one employee is supposed to handle at least 3 campaigns simultaneously, do not have benefits.
