Trusted American Insurance Agency was one of the most disappointing work experiences I’ve had, especially for anyone looking to build a career in sales. Commission issues are a major problem. As an employee, you are not reliably paid what you earn. When concerns are raised repeatedly, there is little to no resolution. Once you eventually quit after exhausting all options, leadership will claim that all commissions were paid, even when they were not. This creates a gaslighting environment where valid concerns are dismissed rather than addressed. Micromanagement is extreme. Leadership closely controls day-to-day tasks while offering little trust or autonomy, which makes it difficult to perform effectively or grow professionally. The company is severely understaffed, and as a result, employees are expected to work across multiple departments without additional compensation. You are overworked, underpaid, and expected to maintain a positive attitude despite the lack of support or recognition. If you are considering sales, especially commission-based work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Especially if you are young, they will take advantage of that. This environment particularly disadvantages younger or early-career employees, who may be more vulnerable to being overextended, underpaid, or misled due to a lack of experience navigating workplace boundaries and compensation structures. Promises of growth, advancement, and compensation are frequently made but rarely honored. This company does not value its employees’ time, effort, or earnings.
