Pros

Each employee brought their best each day, was helpful and collaborative. Never had any issue getting questions answered, and when things were very technical, someone would always reply to a Slack message to help.

Cons

Startup life typically equals resource constraints, and no different here.

Pros

Coming from several large corporations prior to this job, I can openly say TrueAbility has offered me learning opportunities I would have never been able to experience within a short timeframe as I have here. I've truly learned so much here. Everyone treats one another like friends and family. It is very much an open door policy. The founders are very approachable and treat everyone as team member rather than a boss to a subordinate. The CEO is a great mentor and always willing to sacrifice his time and show you what he's learned through his experience. I've seen him carve out time for an intern so that she would be able to present an idea for her personal project to him. That speaks volumes to me. I couldn't be happier with the team I work with. We each have our strengths and weaknesses to which we are able to help each other where the other one lacks in experience. I feel at ease when needing to take a few days off to spend with family knowing my team has it covered. Work-life balance is very important to me and the founders fully believe in that as well. Whenever I need to spend some time with my family I'm never questioned as to why I chose to take those days off.

Cons

Benefits may be more expensive compared to the bigger corporations I worked at, however they're very fair as to what they offer. It's not 100% covered as it would be with a government position, however I know my family has reliable health insurance with a great insurance company.
