Pros
The management salary was fairly good. The training and interview was fairly good as well.
Cons
The culture was good not he surface but failed miserably when the rubber met the road. People were used, expected hours were poorly communicated, work / home life is almost non existing in the summer months, health and safety problems are often ignored, quality is job number three - behind profit and profit. Most of the problems stem from gross mis management. Managers are often sitting in the office working on spreadsheets and are very disconnected from what is really happening in their business. The quality of work is often poor due to lack of supervision and training. Depending on the spreadsheet review weekend work was added or taken away last minute. Sometimes you could be told it would be a half day work but then a message would go out that you couldn't come back until you had x number of sales. No clear message was sent. No clear goal was kept - it was a moving target. Favourites were abound - work, routes, sales ... all were given taken away at will. I was given reassurance and promises but they were not kept. I was not given any feedback during my year. I was often talked down to and demeaned by management. My direct boss had very little communication with me.
