Pros
The work isn't hard and some of the employees are good people. They pay higher than minimum wage and the benefits are relatively all inclusive although there's no financial options.
Cons
The workplace atmosphere can be a headache. Too many cat fights, gossip, and one particularly out of control manager. Not to mention the blatantly illegal practices that you're instructed to do. I've never had another workplace that frequently uses, and I'm quoting a manager here, "mules" to "traffic" their products. Speaking of management, you're told during your interview that you'll be given yearly reviews and advancement opportunities. However, this is a job not a career. After the first year you are on your own on evaluating performance and any raise you receive will be less than a dollar, I know this because I've talked to coworkers about out salaries even though the employee handbook explicitly states that we're not allowed to and "will face immediate termination" if we do so. Management has no education in business so you can experience some pretty wild habits and conflict resolution methods which honestly just boil down to putting a pin in it and letting that conflict fester for another day. There's no inter communication between departments for preparation or goal setting, so the only opportunity you get to talk to another part of staff is when something goes wrong. Overall the workplace culture is like a highschool filled with people stuck in their ways. Not a great place for creating a career.
