Pros

True British motorcycle brand Working alongside like-minded colleagues Half days on Fridays Lots of motorcycle / car / engineering related social opportunities - Bike nights, club rides, workshop groups which is quite nice.

Cons

Senior management lack the ability to lead effectively, burying their heads and muddling through. Sink or swim mentality: You're privileged for the opportunity of working at Triumph, any word to the contrary is heresy. If you don't like something, leave. If you have a problem tough. If you try and talk it through with management, they can't help and if you try and take it higher or speak to HR, it gets buried or you get told to repeat the cycle of speaking to your manager again. HR protect the company here, they aren't impartial and I don't believe they are always ethical or moral either. Whatever it takes to protect the purse. Lots of good people exiting the business at the minute. Those left pick up the extra work without thanks. Your promised the perfect replacement is coming in next month but you'll find yourself expecting to retain the work yourself after a few weeks. Communication is really poor too. Either because of radio silence until the final hour or because the direction given is regular turned back on. This is very common with project work and leaves everybody so uncoordinated and disjointed. Some particular managers are so incredibly privileged, they completely lack any degree of empathy, completely absorbed in their own world.
