Pros

Compensation - Trindent has a history of offering comparable base salaries to most mid-tier consulting firms. Where they fall short is on their ability to consistently deliver on bonuses and commissions earned. Typically this is a long drawn-out process in which the firm will use these amounts as hostage to try to retain employees. Challenging Work - Trindent has committed to breaking the mold of other operations consulting firms by targeting more complex business problems. The issue is that the firm has not made any advancements in changing their 'one-size-fits-all' methodology which they stole from a predecessor in the industry. This means that consultants are ill-prepared to solve these more complex problems and are not given any of the tools or training required to succeed in the industry.

Cons

Corporate Integrity - Trindent falls disastrously low on this metric thanks to a complete lack of morality and no demonstrated corporate values. All, or almost all, of the positive posts on Glassdoor were written either by their HR department or by brand new employees who they ask to write posts as part of their onboarding process. No current employee, save for the founder himself, has been with the firm for longer than 2 years. The firm markets to clients and potential recruits that they have four offices spanning multiple continents - they have 1 office, it is in Toronto. Senior executives will also lie to potential recruits and over-promise in order to get people to come onboard. These new hires quickly realize that the gap between these promises and the reality is a significant one! It begs the question whether this lack of integrity extends to clients in the business development and assessment phase of the business as well. Senior Management Direction - There are numerous negative posts on the site which outline the disrespectful nature of the senior manager at the firm and their insistence on humiliating and degrading employees at every possible chance. If you are looking for a firm where you will have the chance to learn and develop in a respectful supportive environment, this is not the place for you! Firm Policies - The firm is caught in the Stone Age in terms of its policies and procedures. Given that employees are expected to spend between 40-48 weeks per year on the road, flying across North America, it seems unreasonable that the firm has not had a policy to allow for sick days and would deduct salary from employees and require a doctor's note in the event that they fall ill. Overall, the firm policies have been designed to support the firm's desire for a military-like control over the operation and all of the staff.

We value the transparency of Glassdoor. All the posts by our current staff are voluntary and I assure you it is not part of our onboarding process. We have recently developed an anonymous employee survey to provide genuine and honest feedback regarding our firm and how we can improve. We read every comment and act swiftly on any issues regarding ethics or respect.

Pros

Great talent working here. Organized on the day to day of a project.

Cons

Horrible administration. Have at least $8K free on your credit card before you start working here. Expenses are paid 3 weeks later. No regards for your personal finances. Work life balance is not true. You’ll be doing busy work until the very end, micromanaged by everyone. Type A people overreacting, unmanageable deadlines. They will cheap out on everything they can. No retirement.
