There have been lots of call offs since I started. Both nurses and other aides. I been told they have a lot of turn over and at times, the breakdown isn’t fair or even and you take on more responsibilities while other aides don’t do anything and try to tell others what they should be doing. Apparently this has been brought up to management, but the same aides still try and manage staff to not do their own work and let me not get started with this… but every day since I started, I can’t tell you how many times a shift I hear “ that’s not my room, I’m not answering it.” That’s just wrong! The DON needs to address this and make sure all staff helps. I am new and even though I don’t know a resident, I have answered their light to assist them. We are suppose to be a team.
