Pros

- Visionary CEO who encourages his leadership team to collaborate and make decisions together. Empowers managers to run their own departments and trusts them to work autonomously and make important decisions (no micro management) - Strong leadership team with a diverse range of experience and knowledge fosters an environment of continuous learning from the top down - Amazing relationships with customers, some have been loyal to Trendspot for more than 35 yrs! - Great culture that recognizes employees for their team work with quarterly peer nominations and rewards; all quarterly winners are entered into a lottery at the end of the year and one person wins the grand prize! - Employee discounts on products, which is great if you are a crazy plant lover (like me)

Cons

- Company is growing at an exponential pace so there are growing pains, but leadership team is continuously working to correct and prevent in the future (continuous improvement) - Some key stakeholders work remotely full-time, which can have a negative impact on projects that require fast cross-functional collaboration and alignment (more likely to result in miscommunication and project delays) - I work long hours managing our China team, so working in an office during the day that has industrial lighting and no windows is a bit depressing
