Pros
The work being done is amazing, it was nice to know that the results I was putting out had an impact on patient's lives in a very direct way.
Cons
The Lenexa lab was micromanaged in a way that made progress impossible. Upper management churned and burned through two new operations managers in less than 6 months, both had great potential but were completely overwhelmed and hamstrung. Leadership is unaware of the pressures they put on those below them and are contradictory, micromanaging, and uncommunicative. There were constant battles between the sister company of Viracor and the Fremont lab (which no longer exists) You're expected to be perfect.
