Pros

Co-worker are dedicated and personable. If you need time off they will work with you. Open door policy. Get to know and help clients as they get their lives back on track.

Cons

The pay is low and no raises. No upward mobility. Senior management does not seem to care about employee concerns. Too much unnecessary paper work. There is a feeling of distrust from management to employee.

Pros

The Administration and employees are amazing. Pay is way low, even by non for profit standards. Benefits are great, especially the 4O3b. Areas that need restructuring, case management. You will not meet a more awesome group of individuals.

Cons

Pay and the way case management is structured and trained. High turnover.

Pros

Rewarding work as you assist individuals who struggle maintaining in the community and help get their life back on track.

Cons

Management places a heavy emphasis on transporting clients to the point you feel like a taxi service masked under the title of "mental health services". If clients have appointments with TLCs medical staff you are obligated (basically forced) to bring the clients to these appointments and transport folks home. Mileage is below the federal rate and management recently suspended reimbursement but has not suspended the expectation to transport. Flat tires, bed bug exposure and clients who demonstrate poor hygiene make transporting unbearable at times.
