Thank you for your feedback. Our QA team's job is to deliver a uniform and consistent transcription that meets the 99% accuracy promise given to our clients. Not all changes made to a transcriber's work are due to mistakes, some simply occur as part of the QA process. However, if a transcriber's work has mishears, misspelled words or typos, shows a general lack of proofreading or even running a simple spellcheck, yes, those thing will be and must be corrected. If you have any questions concerning the style guide or what to do in specific instances, you can always ask on Yammer as there are several groups available to provide assistance and feedback for any changes a QA makes to your work.

Pros

sounds great on paper. promised to make you a part of a highly professional, well paid organization

Cons

no upfront information on actual salaries/remuneration. getting through the training is extremely time consuming. after spending copious amounts of time and energy preparing to take the "pre" qualification exam, failed not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times. Each time, there is absolutely NO feedback on what you did wrong. So it's impossible to course correct. After all the hours spent and attempts to be accepted, the site shows they're not even accepting applications by way of taking an actual qualification exam. Their qualifications are extreme. I say this as a published author, former high school teacher, and holder of a Master's Degree. I've never had any problems with punctuation or with following format. Used their style guide to ensure I was doing everything right. Total waste of time.
