International Side (Transfair) - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant TransGroup Worldwide Logistics Employee Review

Pros

- Co-workers (see 'advice to management below) - Compensation (generous raises if you are growing with the company and interested in being an asset to them and eager to learn) - Office culture (at least in the international side, the domestic side seemed a little disgruntled but it may have just been the stress?) - Opportunities to grow (if you show you are reliable and eager to learn the doors are pretty wide open) - The owner of the international side of the company has high expectations but gives you the tools and information you need to achieve those results.

Cons

- A few key departments (accounting/domestic) have some downer attitudes (I wasn't in that department so it wasn't a huge issue). (the only reason I put culture & values at 4/5 stars) - It looks like, as you get higher up, its a pretty demanding job (company phone, weekend/after hours emails, etc.) but that is pretty standard in the logistics field. (only reason I put work/life balance at a 4/5 stars)

Pros

You were able to build connections with customers and able to travel for sales pitches (although, this might have been because our Sales Rep wasn’t used to solo sales calls.)

Cons

Expected to work over time with no compensation. My training was in Miami, FL and while they did pay for my flights, I was not given a car. I had to be driven around by the boss of the office. This meant that I always had to order lunch and couldn’t leave the hotel. I was not compensated for the money I paid in Miami. My boss would tell customers that I was stupid and I even had one customer call me stupid to my face. I was the youngest one there (24) and the only woman. They used me on sales calls to be pretty and to woo the male customers. My entire branch was shut down to to COVID-19 and it was my first time getting fired by a boss who was fired before me.
