Pros
-Extra $10 on Sundays and some holidays if you are scheduled to work -401k options -Scholarship opportunities -You make many new friends, both customers and employees -Great managment -Great pay for retail -You alternate between cashiering and restocking shelves -20% off discount and sometimes you get to try food at work depending on your shift time -Scheduling is great if you are a early bird or night owl -PTO requests are always approved if you give enough notice -You have a uniform and guidelines, BUT you can still express your style and not feel boggled down by ultra specific requirements, which is super freeing
Cons
-Not many opportunities to advance to the office or corporate level -The parking lot will leave your car with dents, it also will sometimes make you late for work if it is busy and you can't find a spot -The pay is great for a retail job, but still not enough to live on in the Charlotte area. I have to live with my parents even though I have a degree. This is more of a cost of living issue than a Trader Joe's issue. We are paid incredibly well compared to other retail stores and grocery chains
