Disorganised, Toxic, and Misleading - Anonymous employee Trade Mastermind Employee Review

This is THE most dysfunctional and difficult environment I’ve experienced in my career. What is presented during the hiring process bears little resemblance to the reality of working here. From day one, it becomes clear there is no real operational structure, no clear governance, and no meaningful training. Roles are poorly defined, expectations constantly shift, and there is no framework in place to support people in doing their jobs effectively. Instead of being empowered, employees are heavily micromanaged, with decisions frequently overruled or dismissed outright across the team at all levels. The working environment itself is extremely poor. No positive culture, constantly hearing team members talk badly of others then be pleasant to their face. There is little consideration for employee comfort or productivity. Combined with this is an expectation of very long hours, including weekends, which is not made transparent upfront. The reality of the workload and culture is very different from what is described during the interview process. One of the most concerning aspects is the culture among staff. There is a noticeable lack of trust and teamwork. Individuals do not support each other, and there have been instances where team members have openly admitted to giving incorrect information to colleagues or even managers to make others look bad or make their jobs harder. This creates a hostile and unhealthy atmosphere where people are more focused on self-preservation than collaboration. The environment overall feels chaotic and reactive. Projects are started without clear direction, abandoned midway, and then revisited with completely different priorities. There is no consistency, no long-term thinking, and no ownership. As a result, it is nearly impossible to complete meaningful work or see anything through to a proper conclusion. Staff turnover is extremely high, including at senior and management levels. (90% last year and this year and entire training group left within a week in March). Experienced professionals come in with the intention of improving things but quickly leave once they realise how disorganised and unsustainable the environment is. This constant churn only adds to the instability. There have been recent reviews on other platforms showing how cruel the CEO has been to people outside of the office. One day I witnessed staff members being forced to report Google reviews so they were removed quickly and also where staff members are forced to place positive reviews on other platforms and Glassdoor to give a better impression of the company. I also witnessed multiple times where customers are ignored or forced through their 7-day cooling-off period and then threatened with a legal process as the CEO refuses to refund them. Leaving the customer liable for the entire training package, which could be anything up to circa £50k. If you are expecting a role that aligns with your skills or offers professional growth, you are likely to be disappointed. Much of the work becomes reactive and administrative, regardless of the position you were hired for.
