Cons
There are too many. In any position at TSC you are going to work really hard and not get paid much at all. Everything you do there involves heavy lifting. Bags of feed are heavy, hay is heavy, fencing is heavy, it’s all a great workout but really physically demanding. If you’re old it’s nearly impossible and if you’re a woman your answers to any questions will be doubted. If you’re in a lucky store you will get to pump propane gas. They put you through a half day of training where you learn how dangerous and volatile propane is and you’re expected to fill every tank that arrives. There is no payroll so you’re going to be working by yourself. Customers are rude and demanding and in some locations very helpless. Customers are always complaining about not being able to be helped. You will close with just you and a manager so you’re always going to wonder when something bad is going to happen.
