Pros

The only pro was the fact that I was making more money than employees working there over 5 years.

Cons

Primates are slammed against cages, which causes bloody nose ,lacerated tails, fingers and toes. A primate was killed in November 2015 by an employee improperly restraining it and then it was covered up. Test articles are improperly injected and wind up all over the animal or on the floor. Primate biscuits are left in the cage for weeks and mold grows all over them. Colony rats that are not on food consumption studies are consistently found with out food. Surgical canines are given 10x the recommended dose of acepromazine. Rabbits do not have their eyes lubricated during any surgical procedures. Qualitative food observations are not being documented properly. Injections sites are infected and never documented. The people that do work there are negligent and incompetent.

Pros

I felt the need to point out some of the ridiculous and erroneous complaints being posted here about Toxikon. 1. Pay. Lets start out by saying that I will bet that the majority of pay complaints on here come from people who think Toxikon is like big Pharma, with big Pharma money. The truth is, we are NOT Pharma. We don't have a drug pipeline. We help Pharma companies bring their products to market. As a result, we have a few low pay complaints. If you work hard, you will be rewarded. 2. Employee turnover. A good majority of folks who work here are straight out of college. Tell me of another company that takes a chance and provides a career to a young person without much seat time? Toxikon trains all of their people, and if someone leaves to pursue another opportunity, so what? It happens everywhere all the time. 3. Data issues. The business that Toxikon is in, is heavily regulated. When I say heavily, I mean, heavily. We work with Federal agencies, as do any other CRO or Pharma company. So, if some people say that data is compromised, I don't believe it. 4. BSC's not OSHA compliant? The lab I work in has a BSC. It looks compliant to me. The annual certification is up to date, and it works fine. The Health & Safety Department here know their stuff, and would obviously have a "non-compliant" BSC addressed.

Cons

Like any other company, you will have petty complainers and folks you just don't care for.
