Pros

Every employee and manager is a pleasure to collaborate with. The benefits are good.

Cons

I have witnessed unacceptable behaviour that make me question the integrity of the directors and above. They push decisions on the employees and expect everyone to be happy and get on with it. HR does not seem to be here to listen and hold people accountable, rather solely for the business, what it decides, HR pushes. DEI is mentioned but no action. I worked there for a while and the biggest shock was seeing the people of color/visible minority leave the HR team, it raised many questions among us, employees (because we talked about it). Did not feel reassuring. TT has so much potential, too bad.

Thank you so much for your feedback. At TouchTunes, our decision-making process considers the business situation, our goals and strategy, our company values, and the input of the relevant teams. We’re deeply committed to transparency in our business, especially with employees, so that everyone knows where we’re headed and the decisions we’re making to get there. We do respect that not everyone is going to agree with all of those decisions – and we understand that in some cases that disconnect may cause someone to leave our team. A key role of our HR team is listening to and advocating for our employees, and I see them strive to do that every day. I can also see that if you aren’t aligned with our decisions, you may have some dissatisfaction with our HR team as well, as they are often the team tasked with implementing those decisions. I do disagree, though, with your point regarding DEI. While we can always make improvements, we do have a number of company- and employee-driven DEI efforts intended not just to diversify our teams, but to ensure that people of marginalized identities feel welcome and included while they are here. We’re especially proud of our ongoing partnership with Queertech, a nonprofit that strives to empower 2SLGBTQ+ people to thrive in tech spaces, as well as an event TouchTunes employees hosted last fall at our Montreal office, inviting Indigenous Youth Ambassadors to explore careers in tech. Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts. I wish you all the best in your next opportunity. -Ross

Pros

- hybrid environment - comunter benefit

Cons

- Toxic Leadership Culture: Incompetent, egotistical, and narcissistic management that fosters fear rather than collaboration. - Zero Upward Mobility: No clear career paths or growth opportunities; promotions and recognition are rare or politically driven. - Miserable Work Environment: Employees, especially those who’ve been there long-term, appear burned out, disengaged, and deeply unhappy. - Soul-Sucking Atmosphere: The energy is heavy, draining, and creatively stifling — it feels like survival, not inspiration. - Widespread Negativity: Teams spend more time gossiping, complaining, or blaming others than actually collaborating or problem-solving. - Divisive Leadership: Leadership preaches values like inclusion and teamwork but acts in the opposite way — creating silos and favoritism. - HR Complicity: HR prioritizes protecting toxic management over supporting employee well-being or addressing serious workplace issues. - Culture of Fear and Bullying: Bullies are rewarded and thrive in the environment, while kind, collaborative, and talented people often leave. - Lack of Accountability: Poor performers in leadership roles face no consequences; bad behavior is normalized. - Hypocritical “Culture” Messaging: Company values are used as PR slogans, not guiding principles — nothing authentic about the “people-first” narrative. - Rampant Discrimination: Racism, Islamophobia, and other forms of bias are openly tolerated or ignored by leadership — creating a hostile environment for anyone outside the “inner circle.” -Declining Business & Outdated Product: Revenue continues to fall because the product is irrelevant in a changing economy — especially during a recession. Leadership refuses to innovate or face reality. - Overall Dysfunction: The company is a case study in how not to run a business — a revolving door of talent, crumbling morale, and no vision for the future.
