Pros
1. For computer engineers/ programmers: Learning about new technology in Computer vision, 3D Sensors, etc. 2. For sales position, Appeasements & Personal gossips are very important if you want to stay here longer. Otherwise, it will add value to your technological & practical knowledge base. 3. As research engineer, You'll get research opportunity on some interesting projects (That's it) Learn from it and move on in your career.
Cons
1. Discriminatory, Sub-standard pay as compared to market (This is almost true for all Non-IITians, Non-Sales and Non-appeasing Employees/ Managers) 2. Burden of continuous software releases on Engineers, without caring much about Code-review, Standard code-practice or Code maintenance. 3. Assigns Out-of-scope, Off-profile tasks especially to Programmer/ Software engineers, very often (For e.g. You may be asked to work as or under "Outdoor Site Technician", thus doing all Hard labor work, physically installing Camera, Projectors/ any Hardware etc. at challenging places, for weeks to months anywhere at client's event location in country) BEWARE !! Freshers or Jr. Software engineers are most prone to such predicament, due to lack of options. 4. Overall mindset in company is- Needy people are always easy to tease or ill treat, which is highly dangerous to growth of company itself. 5. Very weak, age-old HR policies that treat people like Machines 6. Non-flexible work hours (don't know if it exist even today), My work-life balance was hampered heavily in company.
