Pros

Fun atmosphere with a young culture.

Cons

- Very cold cut inside sales environment where you better be on the phone for 9-10 hours a day. - Print advertising is dead, so very hard to convince a potential customer to spend a lot of money on a dying breed of advertising. - Base pay is very low, and working on a draw to gain commission makes it very hard to actually achieve commission! - Making 150+ phone calls a day - EVERY day of the week - Turnover is extremely high

Thank you for your insightful comments. Please be advised that Print Advertising is not dead, and is actually doing rather well, especially in the sports marketing space. We have recently increased our base pay and added a number of new aspects to our compensation structure in order to recruit and retain great people. We do understand that not everyone can make a six figure income, in fact about 95% of people won't. However as a percentage we actually do have a track record of developing people that make well above average incomes that go well beyond the low six figures. Development in professional sales takes time, passion and a lot of effort.

Pros

Great work environment. Its independent and competitive but we all still feel like a team. Very comfortable place to start your sales career. The training that you receive from management (Charles Broadhurst) is unsurpassed. I had never worked in sales before this job and now I feel like I can sell confidentially. Also you're associated with some of the top names in professional sports which makes the job even easier and more enjoyable. The pay and other incentives are really great, especially compared to 99% of other sales jobs in the area. It isn't all work and no play either; we get to have relaxed days where we participate in office basketball pools, watch march madness, take a day to go watch a game, fun holiday parties, etc.

Cons

If you've never done inside sales the whole idea of sitting at a desk and being on the phone all day can take some getting used to. The turn over rate made me worrisome at first but I've come to see that the fact is people that this job and its just not for them, not everyone is cut out for sales.
