Pros

The staff is wonderful. It is a small group but the people there, are like family. I've never felt so useful at any job. They know when to give you a boost of confidence and know how to give constructive criticism without making you feel inferior. From other reviews I read here, there had been some toxicity in the past but the trouble makers are long gone and I am excited to get up and go to work each day. There is so much support among the staff. Everyone there is willing to help each other when they can. Pay is great! Dr. Carol Utay is great at seeing the potential and worth in an employee and will pay accordingly. The children are amazing. It's so great to be able to get to know them and their families and to be able to watch them grow in every way. I'm so glad I chose this place. I plan on sticking around for a long time.

Cons

Due to it being a small company, full time work is hard to give out (for now). The more we grow the more that will change.

Pros

Total Learning Centers is a great place to cut your teeth as a teacher and learn innovative (and traditional) techniques that can be scaled to larger class sizes or other one-on-one environments.

Cons

Many that come along with a small business, including comparatively limited benefits.

Pros

Total Learning Centers is a flexible place of employment, and doesn't feel like a daily grind. The staff is made up of people who care about students above profits, and who do their best to serve the families coming in for help. The owner (Dr. Carol) is extremely responsive to staff, parents, and students, giving out her personal cell phone number and offering expert advice, even if that means someone takes their business elsewhere. Benefits are offered for full-time staff, and everyone is exceedingly willing to help one another. Employees are given the benefit of the doubt, and good ideas are implemented quickly.

Cons

The cons are typical of small businesses. The pay is competitive, but not as high as a public school. Benefits are limited, and as a tutoring center the days can run late (sometimes open until 8pm). Employees sometimes have to work outside their job description and wear many hats with so few employees, which can be stressful.
