What makes Toptal different in my opinion is: 1- Freedom: You can choose your own rate, your working hours, and there are zero physical constrains so you could literally work anywhere in the globe if you have internet and a notebook. 2- High rates: Because the interviews are hard (only the top 3% manages to get in) this enables the salaries to be higher as well, and in US dollars, which gives you more freedom to live anywhere in the world, because of the high value currency. 3- Great people: People genuinely care about you in the platform. Since day one people will be available to talk and take your doubts as soon as possible. 4- Boost in Career: Being among the top talents means that top companies are also going to look for you, this is the opportunity to work at some of the biggest and most wanted places to work in the world.
Cons
The cons of Toptal are related to the cons of working as a freelancer. If you prefer working directly a Company, then it might not be for you.
