Pros

There's always hours, your time will never be cut because they're always behind and need people.

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment. Owner and management lie and embellish to make you stay. They always promise to push you and work towards your goals when in reality, you'll never get there because you get put on the back burner due to the lack of organization and the business always being behind in all departments. There's an extremely high turnover rate and many people get burnt out fast and either quit on the spot or put in their notice once they catch on. Frequently running out of product or supplies. Shipments don't get put away and croud the back office and storage area making it impossible to enter and exit the building. Pay periods are broken up to the 1st and 15th of every month so technically you don't get over time and it's meant to be that way to benefit them instead of the employee. No one cleans up after themselves, the dish washer never dries the dishes and stacks them soaking wet (against health code). Nothing in the freezer had a date on it. Lack of discipline and overall management. Tips are only given out every 6+ months or never, so don't count on that as part of the benefits. Production only gets 10%

Pros

I literally cannot think of any cons to working with Too Sweet Cakes! Working for TSC has been one of the most rewarding and supportive companies I've ever had the pleasure of working for. I'm constantly supported by management, I have an incredibly hard working team that also makes work fun and I get to sample some of the best baked goods in the country! Chef's Kiss! - Management goes above and beyond for their staff (CEO included) even across state lines - Work environment is fun, friendly and engaging! I've made quite a few personal connections in addition to professional ones! - Training is comprehensive and I was provided with all the tools necessary to be successful and I feel 100% supported by my team and leadership! -Flexible hours with hybrid opportunities - PLENTY of opportunities for growth!

Cons

I would not call it a CON because in truth every business experiences day to day snafus, but at Too Sweet Cakes they are handled with care, respect and efficiency!

Pros

The owner built Too Sweet Cakes with genuine passion — not just for baking, but for creating a workplace where people feel valued. That vision shows up in the day-to-day: in how decisions get made, how the team is treated, and the pride that goes into every product. Each location is run by a strong, hands-on leader who sets the tone for the whole team. They're not just managers — they're invested in your growth, quick to recognize hard work, and the kind of people who make coming to work feel worthwhile. Because each location operates with its own close-knit crew led by someone who genuinely cares, you're not just a number. You know your coworkers, your leader knows your name, and the culture reflects that. Working here means being part of something that still has its soul intact. The owner's original vision hasn't gotten lost — you can feel it in the culture, the standards, and the way the business is run.

Cons

I wouldn't call it a con, but more of a reality. As with ANY business in this industry, weekends, early mornings, and holidays are part of the territory — if you're looking for a strict 9-to-5, this likely isn't for you. As with most food businesses, team members come and go. It can sometimes affect team dynamics or create stretches where you're covering more than usual. It's the nature of the beast, and when you've got a good group of people around you, it makes it all worthwhile!
