Pros
1. You will learn how to confine to a single technology for years without any growth. 2. You will learn how to work 10-12 hours per day and weekends without comp-offs/benefits. 3. Management takes you to the virtual reality world once a year in Town Hall meeting. 4. You will learn how to work without a hike for years in the name of agreement and policy. 5. Peers are supportive. 6. All together great learning experience. Learnt where not to work.
Cons
1. Organization promises you something, shows you something and gives you the other thing. 2. Don't expect to work in the technology/role they promise you in the interviews. You can be put into production support for years ignoring your request to switch into other technology. 3. Freshers get hike after 3 years of their joining even if agreement is for 2 years as per company policies. If you are paid well for 1 year, you are not included in appraisal process in the next years. Beware of this ! 4. They openly say that any one can work in desired project and technology. But it doesn't happen. They will accept to pay more to retain but don't encourage technology switch throughout the career. 5. You cannot reach Project managers easily. They reach out to you for work and deadlines but when you have request in terms of your growth, they stop responding. 6. One way traffic. You have to die for company's growth but company doesn't want you to grow in turn. 7. Work late nights. Some times all the night. You don't get any Comp-off for that. You get 200 rupees daily wage for night shift. 8. You will not have any interaction with HR team other than resignation and Hike. 9. 3 months notice and no negotiation. They accept buy out if they don't need the resource. 10. Better don't join if you are looking to grow in the career both in terms of technology and Professionalism.
