Pros
My experience with Tiller couldn't be further than what some of these other reviews are saying. I have never worked with so many kind and collaborative people or in an atmosphere so invested in personal growth, wellbeing, and work-life balance. I have monthly 1:1s with my direct supervisor, and they take great pains to celebrate my wins with me and dig into my challenges. I've never had an issue that wasn't resolved by talking it out or asking a PM for a little more time. This is a team that genuinely loves the work they do, the clients they serve, and the people they work with. I'm glad I didn't let the negative reviews put me off.
Cons
Two cons that I can think of: (1) while the agency is growing and the team is very invested in helping people nurture their skills, there's not necessarily a lot of room for upward growth. The organizational structure is pretty flat, so if you're looking for a bunch of promotions to stick on a resume, this might be the wrong fit. (2) The nature of the business is feast or famine, especially when serving B2B SaaS. Sometimes a bunch of projects will roll in and you'll have back-to-back sprints. Other times, you're waiting for SOWs to be signed and projects to kick-off, and then you need to find other ways to fill your time. It's not unexpected, but it could be the wrong environment for certain people.
