Pros
There are some exceptionally talented engineers at this company, and many of the individual contributors are intelligent, hardworking, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. The company has talented people and interesting technical problems, but the culture, management practices, and employee experience ultimately outweighed those positives for me.
Cons
Unfortunately, my experience of the broader culture was overwhelmingly negative. The organization is heavily bureaucratic, process-driven, and resistant to change. Even relatively straightforward decisions can become bogged down in layers of process, meetings, and approvals. I also found the management culture frustrating. Feedback often felt one-directional, and employees were not always treated with the level of respect and professionalism I would expect from a modern engineering organization. Walking into the office frequently felt more stressful than motivating. I did not find the overall environment welcoming. I personally experienced recurring microaggressions and interactions that I perceived as dismissive or condescending. While others may have different experiences, I often felt that I had to work harder to earn the same level of credibility and respect afforded to some of my peers. Compensation was also below what I would consider competitive for the expectations placed on employees.
