Pros

Travel to remote locations across the country.

Cons

This company will expect you to be at their beck and call. They want you to consider working there as being a part of a "family" which is a professional code word for there is no work-life balance. Management is bloated a happy to skate by without any changes. If you want to be sent to Alaska for a year, on a moment's notice, this is the company for you.

Great company to work for. Plenty of opportunities to learn different roles

Cons

Temporary contract work so you can get cut if there’s not much work available anymore

Pros

Potential to earn reasonable salary (augmented by overtime/incentive pay), travel to client locations, learn/develop experientially

Cons

Disparity in competencies of full-time and contract employees results in textbook case of 80/20 rule; 20% of people do 80% of the work. "Integration" w/ parent company that has taken several years and remains ongoing has resulted in layoffs, resignations, and a series of efforts that although well-intended, have been horrendously executed leaving employees anxious and unsure of what the future holds, or if it even exists for them.
