Pros

Tons of opportunities, product is unique and fun to sell.

Cons

It’s a constant revolving door of personnel. In one year, we’ve had three GM’s and nearly the entire sales and service team has turned over. As an account executive you sell a job, it doesn’t get installed or you have an upset customer as Service is lagging behind and understaffed. You are really on your own having to prospect, set meetings, go to the entire sales process and then all the admin work along with follow up. There’s no one to help with the process you were on your own.

Must be ready to perform. A high accountability environment, but you have the support to produce.

Pros

Branch employees care about the mission. The safety industry is by definition a noble undertaking.

Cons

No real commitment to employees and/or customers by the leadership of the organization. Mistrust throughout. The organization exists to sell to Cintas or some other large company that will eventually take it over and chew up whatever is left when they do. Owners of any business being approached to sell to this company should be very cautious. If you do not care about your legacy or how your employees and/or customers will be treated after you sell your business this is probably the best place for you to sell your business too. If you do care about those things, look elsewhere. This team exemplifies all the bad things you hear about Private Equity.
