Pros
When things are going well it's a great place. Calm and laid-back atmosphere with friendly co-workers and opportunities to move around across the organization. HR offers additional productivity training which is helpful inside and outside 31. Flexible work schedule is ideal - you won't find it many places. Come and go as you please, especially if you have an understanding manager.
Cons
Those good times in the "PROs" section are few and far between. Without drastic changes, I'll be shocked if this company is around in 3 years. The leadership team has lost its voice with the field and has gotten away from the mission of helping women achieve financial stability. This is now a retail conglomerate, not a small start-up, who's only goal is to increase sales, no matter the financial implications (and they suck at increasing sales- YOY sales have been down significantly for 3 years in a row with no end in sight and they can't figure out how to fix it). The company lays off a decent chunk of the workforce every 6 months or so. They distribute an inaccurate bonus structure during recruitment - there's no chance you're getting anywhere above 5% in a good year and those good years are way back in history for this company. If you're looking for a job to last a year and want the experience of learning how quickly a company can fall from grace then this is the place for you. But they will smile as they pull the rug out from under you, it's the 31 way.
