Pros

You learn very quickly how to organise your time between tasks, how to cold call, how to manage different research projects and delegate tasks to people as well as collaborate with your team. Workforce is generally very young so its easy to make friends.

Cons

Work is mundane and does not serve any meaningful purpose. You essentially act as a middle man between an 'expert' and your client - you do not get to see any of the research that is being carried out. Managers are overstressed and take it out on their associates, often pestering them online after hours for an update on projects. The pressure is immense and associates are constantly made to feel like their job is at risk even if they are consistently hitting target. Feedback and complaints about employee mistreatment is also not taken seriously - Senior managers/HR only took feedback about a manager bullying their team seriously once there was overwhelming evidence of it via a department-wide survey. This manager was not even let go immediately, they were just sidelined to a different department before they were eventually phased out.

Pros

Good entry-level opportunity with exposure to fast-paced, client-facing work. The company hires driven, sociable individuals and can be a strong starting point for building communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-performance environment.

Cons

High turnover and inconsistent management quality significantly impact the employee experience. Success is heavily dependent on your team lead and manager, with limited recourse if you’re placed under ineffective leadership. In my experience, poor communication, lack of emotional intelligence, and unclear expectations from management made it difficult to succeed and negatively affected day-to-day productivity. Internal processes around performance management and PTO lacked transparency. I was placed on a PIP and terminated shortly after (within a week) in a way that felt abrupt and not aligned with prior communication, which was initially framed as a discussion around pending PTO. There were also delays in PTO approvals, and I experienced issues with compensation adjustments following a promotion that required follow-up to resolve.
