Pros

Thinkgate offers an atmosphere filled with friendly and family oriented coworkers. Connections formed between coworkers are often deep and meaningful past the professional viewpoint. The benefits are fairly competitive given the small nature of the company.

Cons

Upper management is not connected with the base of the company nor is it aware of the long term damage their short term solutions cause. There were several extremely unethical decisions made during my stay with Thinkgate. The company constantly bit of more than it could chew relying on the hard work of a few core individuals to bail them out of binds. The business knowledge within the company is minimal and forward direction is non-existent. The entire tactical outlook the company follows keeps driving further problems.

Pros

You are given many opportunities to excel in your career. Everyone supports each other and wants the best for the company.

Cons

Since this is a SaaS company, it has those same challenges that every tech business runs into. If you don't like change, a fast paced environment or helping in whatever way you can to see the company succeed, then you need not apply.

Pros

Working for a company that is constantly in crisis management mode is a good skill builder. However, if this style is maintained for more than three months, then something needs to change.

Cons

Technical debit is unlike anything I have ever seen. They sell much, much more than they can develop. They do not understand why they lose customers. Project Managers, having no say as to how the product is developed, are held accountable for both late deliverables and missing customer-specific requirements. Always seems to be a core group of non-management employees that work 60+ hours a week (consistently) while a majority of others work 40-45 hours per week. Upper management is out of touch with issues tied to the software, and they seem to have a fascination with outsourcing projects that in-house developers can easily handle.
