Pros

Friendly and welcoming staff eager to answer any questions you may have. Fun day camps, kids are excited to be there. Light-hearted atmosphere.

Cons

I do not have many cons. It was a fun place to work as an intern for a summer. Not a very big budget to spend on graphic design/marketing since it is a nonprofit.

Pros

The Works is very mission oriented, with great people who want to help kids explore engineering. The curriculum is very hands-on, with great projects to work with.

Cons

The flexibility allowed teachers sometimes meant not very much guidance was available to learn about new curriculum. Those in charge of managing/stocking materials have let the store rooms get disorganized to the point of chaos. Pay is low, with little chance for advancement.
