Pros

Nice offices with enough space

Cons

Totally hierarchical, utterly impractical, big old-boys society of losers who don't actually know or do anything, and a few people who skulk around the perimeter doing anything productive. Those people are largely ignored for showing themselves up as working class, even if they're not

Pros

Tons of opportunities to chase stories and hone reporting skills. Interns are given a lot of responsibility and assumed to have a high competence level. Journalists in DC office are excellent and great mentors.

Cons

Some administrative work, but that's to be expected. Internships are not extended beyond their one semester term
