Great to get your foot in the door, but went downhill - Software Engineer The System Works Group Employee Review

- casual environment, friendly people - work / life balance is good for the most part (mostly because projects go for a LONG time, so you only have to work extra when it FINALLY becomes time to deliver something)

- a massive and severe disconnect between senior management and developers / other professionals. (sales men selling vapor ware, CEO's needing to be told the same thing every few months) - not willing to invest enough time to make software products ... but expects them to come from time pressured, client specific projects - no real commitment to quality software. Entirely date driven.

Nice people, quick turnover of staff means you get to meet lots of new people. They pay new staff well. (I received a 20% pay bump when I moved to TSWG).

Terrible culture. Terrible Management. Terrible Business model. From a software developers point of view, the code base is a complete mess. No single mind has spent a long enough amount of time developing a consistent architecture for the majority of the systems. The result being a mass hack job.
