Pros

Decent entry into the psychology & social work field. Working with kids to help enhance their abilities is rewarding. Partial reimbursement for gas. Can be a casual work environment that allows for fun days and activities with the kids. Flexible scheduling.

Cons

Poor communication skills by management. Little to no professional boundaries. Very inconsistent with policy implementation. Flexibility in scheduling can result in having too many or too few hours as requested. There are no practical resources to assist employees with burnout (such as providing therapeutic assistance). Pay is advertised inconsistently and actual pay is low for the circumstances of the job expectations. They do not show any progress toward hiring an HR representative.

Cons

-Lots of driving and you need to be comfortable with taking kids off the facility and to public areas sometimes

Pros

The best thing I experienced working at TPF was the mission, they are doing needed work for the community.

Cons

Upon interviewing and being onboarded, the miscommunication (which in hindsight seemed deliberate) started. It was not communicated that it would take 6 weeks to be paid the first time. It also was not communicated that I would only be paid for a fraction of the actual hours that I worked. It was also not communicated that I would have to drive hours everyday (when I was told I would be working in my county) and not be reimbursed for most of my mileage. I have felt massively taken advantage of working for this company, I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs.
