Pros

This company places emphasis on working collaboratively. My supervisor was approachable and listened to my questions and concerns.

Cons

Severe lack of a cohesive, comprehensive training program. While I wouldn't exactly say there is a 'sink or swim' mentality within the company, there is no structured training. This is a source of frustration from newcomers and experienced employees alike. Additionally, wages were not competitive, and there are limited opportunities for flex scheduling/telecommuting for those in certain service roles. The Portland and Bellevue locations operate differently, and Portland does not seem to take these differences into account when it comes to establishing expectations.

Pros

Where to start? I'm very fortunate to be an employee of The Partners Group - not only do I feel supported, valued, and empowered to do my job well, but the company culture and core values are consistently authentic and make this company a truly great place to work. In my experience, managers and leaders here are open to listening (they welcome and frequently ask for feedback). As an organization we are constantly looking for ways to improve, expand our learning and understanding, and ultimately BE BETTER (in our jobs, with our clients, with each other, in our day-to-day lives, in our hiring, communication, business practices, etc.). I especially love the company's purpose - to make a difference in our communities through our work and inspire others to do the same. This intention and our core values are not just aspirational - it's already who we are. Sure, TPG is by no means a utopian company, and it will go through some growing pains as the organization continues to evolve and expand, but so far it's the best place I've ever worked, and I see myself staying here a very long time.

Cons

Nothing significant enough to mention (after 1+ years with the company).
