Pros

This is a fast paced, growing company. Many of the original family founders still have a heavy hand in the business.

Cons

- Illegal break policy (employees are not allotted the appropriate rest/meal breaks based on hours worked) - Scheduling expectations (schedules change last minute) - Work/life balance (beware, salaried managers are expected to work a minimum of 45 hours, sometimes up to 6 days a week at 54 hours without additional compensation.) - Lack of structure (many procedures are still being constructed) - High turnover at all levels (it is not uncommon for individuals from sales associates to district managers to be terminated without notice) - Retaliation (HR is a double edged sword. Corporate representatives take political action against associates who file complaints, most who do shortly disappear after a paper trail of corrective actions materializes.) - Culture (hostile work environment where some employees are used as informants and are asked to collect and report negative information about others.)

Pros

Great place to kick-start your career and hit the ground sprinting Room for growth/experimentation, tons of experience and learning opportunities Receptive to new ideas, encourage new concepts and voices Amazing people who can turn around projects faster than any other company I know Fun, creative space in a rapidly expanding environment Family-run business largely run by women

Cons

Only unicorns allowed - expect to do the work of two to three people Flip-flop decision making with poor communication skills from leadership Fast-paced with no off-season Only 6 holidays, little vacation time, poor health benefits, no stock options Needlessly high-stress due to lack of internal structures (always putting out unnecessary "fires") No time or investment in company culture or workplace improvements Family-run business leads to bottlenecks, highly personal decision-making, and weakened managerial leadership
