- benefits are terrible (families are not covered unless you pay full premium); high copays; high deductable; no choice in plan - No HR department - lack of competence in upper management and supervisors (often consultants are more qualified and more knowledgeable than their supervisors) - generally unsupportive and hostile upper management - workers are not appreciated and taken advantage of, causing a high turnover rate
