Pros

great work/life balance and perks

Cons

the owner is a great person but needs to work on management skills there’s no AC so during the summer it’s 15 degrees warmer than it is outside in the shop

Pros

lots of free healthy juice and snacks

Cons

incredibly unorganized. like, it's a miracle this place is still running. our paychecks were "guesstimated", i recieved no training on dangerous practices such as using the giant $25,000 juicer, the owner is a well-off white woman who doesn't know how to respect others' cultures. WAY overpriced for the quality of the fruit they gave us to use- most of it was not local as they claim and we used rotten fruit often. all the employees gossip about the owner and the other "supervisers" (although no positions were ever actually explained to us.. no policies in general were explained, actually. including how to call in sick! when multiple of us asked, we were told they were "working on protocals" so.... literally NO way for you to call in sick. kind of... illegal. VERY unethical), creating a toxic and beyond passive aggressive environment. lastly, the owner could easily be sued by any one of the employees for harassment (among other issues, such as one employee literally wiping out on the wet floor)- she takes out any of her frustrations in life at her employees and has absolutely no idea how to be professional or a boss. also seriously underpaid, while above minimum wage the nectary still pays less than a living wage for the county of sonoma and refuses to raise anyone's pay.
