Pros
TMS is transparent and exercises great effort to keep the lines of communication open from bottom up and top down. Employee input is not only actively sought, it is given consideration and respect. The option to work remote is available for certain positions, which offers employees much valued flexibility and comfort. They are serious about being a world class organization who leads the industry and they make it easy to take pride in working here. Although they are rapidly growing, they continue to make efforts to maintain personal contact and to foster positive relationships with their employees. For instance, I received a signed card from the President and CEO on my birthday and my one-year employment anniversary… that was a first for me! They also encourage their employees to treat each other with the same consideration, as is consistently demonstrated by the recognition of "thank yous" sent among staff in every month-end call. I believe other companies in this industry will soon adopt much of TMS’ cultural attitudes in the near future, as this is definitely a model worthy of admiration.
Cons
The growth TMS continually achieves brings some growing pains, but given our trajectory, all will be well worth it.
