Pros
I have been with ATG Stores for several years now and I am constantly finding them pushing employees to grow their skillsets. This is a company that's WANTS to invest in the development of its employees. I have held several positions and worked on many different projects/teams in their Customer Care department and with each new role upper management is willing and happy to work with me on pushing myself and delivering results. There are massive opportunities for growth in this department in particular (company wide too!) and I encourage anyone looking to start a 5+ year career path to consider ATG Stores. The open door policy management has is amazing - anytime I have a concern or idea they are always more then happy to hear it and give me the needed direction/tools to tackle it. Employee satisfaction is extremely important to ATG Stores, they clearly understand that happy employees equal happy customers. Also I really like that the CEO is close by - she really cares about ATG Stores and it shows. For a retail company, the benefits are awesome! With multiple coverage options for health insurance you can be sure they will have coverage that fits in your budget. Overall the benefits I receive are by far the best I have ever had from any employer. Work/Life balance is actually really good - management is very flexible when they can be - in the end they have a business to run (understandable!) but they do what they can which is more then can be said for other retailers. ATG Stores has many summer time BBQ's and other events throughout the year - this is super cool! ATG Stores is a work hard play hard kind of place and I personally love it! If your a individual who is looking to make the leap from a job to a real career then ATG Stores is the place to do this. Its not always easy but it is absolutely always rewarding.
Cons
Since employees are not really allowed to take unpaid time off unless approved by the REED Group, more paid time off would be awesome. Everyone at ATG Stores works extremely hard and more paid time off (like two or 3 days more!!) would be much appreciated. Other then that there are no real cons of working here. As mentioned above ATG is a work hard, play hard type of place, if you want to do mediocre work and kick it most of the time then this isn't the place for you.
