Pros
you get paid? There are no benefits. Nothing to incentivise you to work here instead of at competitors. Employees made to feel that they are very much replaceable.
Cons
You will be invited to join a WhatsApp group- I advise you decline. You may feel this is a great way for you and your team to build rapport and keep in touch but in reality this is used to bark orders and send sparing updates and becomes a bone of contention. Do NOT join- perhaps you do not use WhatsApp ;) Culture. This is the real down side of MSG group and what lets head office (camberley) down. It appears to have all the foundations of a great employer however culture is so bad that I am genuinely shocked (and I am in HR!) processes are convoluted and old fashioned to say the least, and not set up to promote best practise and open communication, which then in turn leads to issues throughout the wider business as they in turn adopt the mentality ‘monkey see monkey do’ and turn a blind eye to blatant employee concerns in stores. F2F is lacking and severely needed IMO, as is training and modernisation. This place has the bare bones to be something great. So why not go ahead and do it?
