Cons
My experience was a mixed bag! I really enjoyed working with my team and worked on some really good projects and was wanting to progress etc (like you do!). However, I found no progression here as we were working flat out and long hours (with no extra pay) to get projects out the door. Everyone is absolutely knackered all the time and work/life balance is poor. I found the pay to be very unfair and low for a developer (which I expressed in many appraisals/121's) and later found out that less experienced colleagues were on more than myself. As a woman in tech I had some very horrible and uncomfortable experiences with management which unfortunately led me to put in complaints with HR. Which has never happened before in any other company. I asked for an exit interview to chat through why I actually left and never got one, I did not feel valued.
