Pros

You can make a little bit of money fast. Most people are friendly and helpful, especially the IT team (except the ones in charge).

Cons

The bosses are rude, the pay is super low and they are always after foreigners to pay less and less. The workflow is confusing and, despite the low fees, you will be working 9 to 11 hours a day. Everything can change in the last minute: no organization or preparation; but they still want you to do it urgently even if you have to work +14h for it. People in positions of more power take every chance they have to criticize and attack you.

Pros

What I enjoy most about working here is the strong and effective communication. Whenever I have needed to clarify a question or make a request to Human Resources, I have always felt heard and welcomed. The same applies to my coordinator: she is very patient and always willing to help whenever needed. We also have great communication with the other teams we work with on a daily basis, especially after creating groups to facilitate certain tasks and make our work more efficient. Whenever I come up with new ideas to implement within our team, my coordinator is always open and receptive, which motivates me to continue developing new initiatives to improve our area. Overall, I believe communication is essential for everyone to work effectively, especially in a virtual environment, where transparency is key.

Cons

It would be great to have more opportunities to connect with colleagues in other teams we collaborate with regularly, to strengthen cross-team relationships.

Pros

The volume of work is great.

Cons

Most of the work is due within 24 hours; some are very urgent, like a 2-hour TAT. It would be great for people with a flexible schedule. The style guide keeps changing, which makes it very difficult for many translators to keep up. TMs are not cleaned up regularly, so many outdated and incorrect TM matches need to be updated during the translation/editing phase. There are many 100% matches in your files, but those are not really 100% matches that you can just skim through. For most of them, you need to translate from scratch, and they pay almost nothing for that task.
