Pros
Good exposure to healthcare system, young staff. Good to use to springboard to better companies
Cons
Don't prioritize training, not competitive pay for NYC cost of living, favoritism is rampant, lack of diversity, unclear path to promotion. The biggest issue here is the rampant favoritism, whereby company favorites will be promoted and given opportunities based on nothing but how much they are liked. These favorites will often be inappropriately deemed "experts" in topics they have a small amount of knowledge in. Quite honestly, nearly every deliverable is made using contractors, and so they do not invest in genuinely building the expertise of their in-house employees. There is little to no transparency from leadership on how decisions are made. Furthermore, they do not care about diversity, and they especially do not care about inclusion. The only reason you may see them feign interest is if their clients are interested in D&I. Expect to see people eating lunch at their desks here and taking little to no breaks. Bottom line is, if you're not a favorite, get out as soon as you can because you will be undervalued.
