Pros

Honestly, none, you might feel like you're working with a big name and making a difference, but you are beyond dispensable for the organisation and it makes sure you know that.

Cons

I worked here for just shy of two years, and what I learnt is that IE thinks that just because it has been running for so long, it is not obligated to evolve with the times, failing to understand what the repercussions of that will be. The hours, the pay, the way higher ups treat you, how condescending they are, how they laugh at you, exclude you, overburden you to give preferential treatment to other people, the list is endless. You will be shamed for trying to claim your rightful holidays or establishing any workplace boundaries. They will call you up an hour before your shift and ask you to come to work, and you can't say no. Diwalis, birthdays, family deaths...you must be prepared to work through all these and more. It's such a disheartening scenario when you're a young journalist. You come to a place like IE thinking you're about to start your learning journey, and instead you're neglected, ignored, overworked to the point where you're questioning why you even thought this would be a good place to work. You expect that adults will outgrow the 'clique' mindset but the truth is that these are some of the most catty and selfish people ever, and the more junior you are, the more you have to be prepared to let go of any semblance of a life so that they can live theirs. The middle level management is absolutely petty, rude, and immature. The HR is the worst, and honestly, it may as well not exist, because it is full of people who don't know how to perform the most basic functions. Overall, it's such a dehumanizing and harrowing experience that you will be left feeling like you just lost a major chunk of your life to a company that goes out of its way to tell you how much it doesn't care about you.

Pros

Good place, the new breed is changing the things. A lot of things have improved and they are working to grow significantly in next couple of years. Great safe place for an employee.

Cons

Group health insurance is insufficient. They deduct diwali bonus from your salary and then dedect tax when it is paid annually.
