Pros

The only positive was getting to leave and prioritize my mental health. Occasionally, you may find a few genuinely nice colleagues—but they often don’t last long either.

Cons

Micromanagement: There is no trust in employees. Managers constantly interfere in the smallest tasks, creating a suffocating environment where creativity and ownership are nonexistent. Poor Leadership: Many managers lack basic leadership or people management skills. Instead of mentoring or guiding, they often resort to controlling behavior, vague criticism, and passive-aggressive communication. They will blame anyone without any proof. Lack of Transparency: Important decisions are made behind closed doors, and employees are rarely given context. Promotions, project allocations, and even layoffs often come as a surprise. Manipulative Feedback System: Feedback feels staged or fabricated to support whatever agenda management has. Constructive criticism is rare—most of it feels personal or politically motivated. Toxic Office Politics: Advancement here depends more on who you’re friends with than on your actual performance. Genuine work gets buried under favoritism, flattery, and internal lobbying. Unprofessional Behavior: Gossip, blame games, and backstabbing are unfortunately common. Professionalism takes a backseat to personal drama. No Career Growth: There’s no clear roadmap for learning, development, or internal mobility. Even high performers are often overlooked unless they play along with the internal politics. They will frequently move you from one project to other project, saying your performance is not good. Mental Health Toll: The constant stress, lack of recognition, and toxic dynamics make this a deeply unhealthy workplace for long-term career building.
