Pros

Facility, property, tools needed to do job, and the sanctuary concept are all top-notch. The guy who started this sanctuary is great, and it's hard to make this job not awesome (not impossible). Also nice to be in a position to teach the world about elephants.

Cons

Management not trustworthy, in a job with dangerous animals where trust is imperative. A lot of employee self-interest exists, obvious in behavior, which obliterates "team" concept. (See above re importance) Relationships between employee and employer are very public and obvious, which is feeling very unprofessional to see- if you're best friends with your employee, it shouldn't be so obvious in a professional environment. I think the idea is you either seek approval (a social game), or you're on the periphery. Lastly, this job has many people who did or still do have identical complaints, which means that the cause to this effect is still there, long-term, and likely *not* because of those complaining. This level of a job, with the status it carries, should not be rife with unaddressed and repetitive complaints. A 2.0 star rating is sad to see, as is something built that's so beautiful...the land, the good life of the animals...having diminishing returns on the investment. Truly, the journey for this was better than the destination.
