Pros

Lots of Hours (overtime) No drug testing 30min lunch Hires anyone I’d highly recommend this job for kids fresh out of high school, who want an entry level job into sales for their resume. You’ll learn about customer service and have a good knowledge of cellular sales.

Cons

Drama, drama, drama, if you enjoyed the high-school he said she said then you’re in the right spot. -Be prepared to close almost ever night, shifts can last much longer than posted, if they say be there at 10am be there 9:30am. Schedule is not flexible. -Be prepared to be left alone because your co-workers decide to leave for the day for whatever reason. -Be prepared to come in on your only off day of the week for a senseless team meeting that is not productive. -Low commissions, pay out in 45 days after the month ends -It’ll take approximately 1 month to get your first decent pay check so don’t expect to pay your bills on time. The job was posted at 35k a year take 10k off that and that’s what you could make if you’re a top sales rep. -Do not switch your phone over immediately even if they ask and if you do expect to pay your phone bill before your pay period even starts. -Beware of who you’re sent out to do flyers with, ask to do it by yourself so you can actually do your job. -Co-workers overly friendly and not in a good way, they try to give you relationship advice. -Painfully slow service for customers, long wait periods until they get their devices, so be ready to entertain your customers. - this is a heavy customer service job. I for one am use to this but if you have never dealt with irate customers before prepare yourself. From hardest to easiest for a beginner this may be a point you want to turn back if you have never dealt with a customer service job before. If you have then you know what I’m talking about. -Be prepared to sell phone insurance your store can’t fix, customers will have to be sent to other locations. You are required to put it on their phones and have to get the managers authorization to remove it. -Lack of training, be prepared to have your manager micro manage you, they will try to take over your station and finish out your sale and “accidentally” have sales in their name. It took over a month for me to feel “okay” finishing out a sale on my own because they always interfere and make you feel like you’re doing someone wrong when you’re actually on the right track. So if you’re use to independent sales look for something else. -Overall very high turn over, there is a good reason trust me. Wether it’s over pay, shifts, who’s customers are who’s, you name it.... -Management is constantly changing. My store had 3 different managers from the time I was there, technically 4 the manager I interviewed with wasn’t even there when I started. I later found out he was moved to another location. - this job will be your life, if you have a family don’t try it. I had to cancel multiple events with family to come into work just to sit and wait on nobody to come into the store and make my hourly or help fix seniors facebooks in hopes to sell them something.

Pros

Very family like. Upper Management is straight forward and involved in all aspects of the business. If you work smart you will be successful and have you have the tools and training to do so

Cons

Turn over is high like most retail but that’s not in fault of the company, I guess better recruiting would be my only thing to say that needs improvement
