It's like being a contractor. When there is a need in the business, they are extremely busy, and look for people to extend their shift or pick up extra days. When it's slow you may only get a three to four hour shift, and days are reduced. You cannot easily move into full time positions, because someone has to quit or move to another department. I came in as prime-time, and three years later same place. I had to have two other jobs to stay afloat.
